Art
Here at Brinsworth Howarth we know art is an essential part of school life, the skills the pupils learn here are transferable to every other aspect of the curriculum; from developing their fine motor skills to creative thinking, the list of benefits is huge. We want to create a love of the arts by exposing the children to a wide range of styles and cultures as well as skills and techniques. As you walk around our school you can’t fail to be inspired by the artwork on show and recognise the value we place upon it.
Silver Artsmark Award
We are delighted to be a Silver Arts Mark school! This award has been given to us by The Arts Council in recognition of our work in visual arts, creative writing and digital art. We are so very proud of this award.
Day to Create
On Wednesday 6th July 2022, we took part in Day to Create. This was an Arts Council event celebrating 20 years of Artsmark. We are currently on the journey to gaining the Artsmark school qualification, so we embraced this event. Representatives from Grimm&Co, The Arts Council, IVE and the DfE all attended our creative day. The children demonstrated learning through a hands on approach through writing, inventing, painting, drawing, modelling and dance.
