Physical Education

Physical literacy, regular activity and participation underpin a healthy starting point for the rest of children’s lives, both physically and mentally. Our intent for P.E. at Brinsworth Howarth is to encourage and develop our children to become life-long movers, through the delivery of a high quality P.E. curriculum; activity embedded through our curriculum and school day and the opportunity, support and encouragement for everyone to participate in competitive sports. We intend to set the foundations for a happy and healthy lifestyle for our pupils, for now and forever! Our rich curriculum is taught through two strands; key fundamental skills, delivered through our new ‘Real PE’ scheme, alongside more traditional sports. We also enjoy working with our sports coaches, from Live and Learn Sports, to participate in team games against fellow classes and other local schools, and to join in with class sporting events, including our fabulous annual school sports day!
